Baker County Criminal History Records
Baker County is in eastern Oregon. Baker City serves as the county seat. Criminal history records here are maintained by the Baker County Circuit Court and the Sheriff's Office. The court keeps case filings, hearing dates, judgments, and docket logs for all criminal matters. The Sheriff holds arrest records and jail data. Several online tools make it possible to search for Baker County criminal history without leaving home. This page covers how to find and request these records through local and state resources.
Baker County Circuit Court
The Baker County Circuit Court is located in Baker City. It has jurisdiction over felonies, misdemeanors, and traffic violations. Civil, family, probate, and juvenile cases are also handled here. When you need a criminal case file, you can visit the courthouse and use the public access terminals at no charge. Court staff can also help with requests by phone.
Criminal case records show the charges filed, hearing dates, plea entries, and the outcome of each case. If a sentence was imposed, that is on the record too. To request a file, provide the full name of the person, a date of birth or conviction date, and the year the case was started. This helps staff pull the right file quickly.

Online Record Search Tools
Oregon provides free online access to court calendars and basic case data through the OJD Records and Calendar Search. This covers all 36 circuit courts, including Baker County. You can look up criminal cases by name, view hearing dates, and check case status. Sealed records, juvenile matters, and mental health cases are excluded by state and federal law.
The OJCIN OnLine subscription service goes further. It gives subscribers full docket details from every Oregon circuit court. You can search by name, case number, or citation. OJCIN shows charges, hearings, judgments, and sentencing data. The setup fee is $150. Monthly costs run from $27 to $1,620 depending on the access level you choose. Each user profile adds $16 per month.
Baker County court records can also be searched online through the Oregon eCourt Case Information portal. This pulls from the same system court staff use. Data is updated in near real time, though short delays can occur between when a document is filed and when it appears.
Note: OJCIN results are not the official court record and should be confirmed with the court if needed.
Baker County Sheriff Records
The Baker County Sheriff's Office keeps arrest records, jail booking logs, and inmate information. These files are separate from court records. An arrest record shows that someone was taken into custody. A court record shows what happened with the case after charges were filed. Sometimes a person is arrested but never charged.
To get arrest records from the Sheriff, you may need to file a written request under Oregon's Public Records Law. Contact the Sheriff's Office in Baker City for their specific process. Response times depend on the type of record and the volume of requests they are handling.
Note: Arrest records may be held back if the case is still under active investigation, as allowed under Oregon law.
Criminal History Through OSP
The Oregon State Police CJIS Division is the central repository for criminal offender data in Oregon. It covers all counties, including Baker. To request your own criminal history, submit the Request Own Record form along with your fingerprints and a $33 fee. Results are mailed in 7 to 10 business days. If you have no record on file, you get a letter saying no match was found.
Open records requests let you look up someone else. The same $33 fee applies. Under ORS 181A.245, the state must notify the person whose record was pulled. The notice goes to their last known address and includes a full copy of the data. The person has 14 days to challenge any errors. After that, the record is released to you with details on the arrest date, offense, arresting agency, court of origin, and full disposition.
